Adult Day Options

We provide a range of Day Options Services for adults living with disabilities. Based at our Hubs, our day service offers tailored programs for individuals depending on your needs.


Hubs

Our Hubs are permanent facilities based in the community offering a friendly and familiar a home environment for clients. Hubs offer an inclusive setting for clients to develop their social relationships, build on communication and enhance their independent living skills.

scosa has twelve Hubs located across metropolitan and regional South Australia and regularly hosts open days welcoming clients, families, carers and the broader community.

We operate across an extensive geographical region expanding north to Port Pirie and south to the Onkaparinga area. To view our Hub locations please click here.


Activities

scosa offers an extensive range of educational, leisure and recreational activities such as literacy, numeracy, cooking, computing, arts and craft, massage, sensory activities, woodwork, music, dance, gardening and a variety of sporting activities.


Transport

scosa has a fleet of access vehicles used to provide transport to and from community activities throughout the day. Many clients utilise scosa's fleet for transport to and from services, with a small contribution to transport costs charged based on mobility allowance available through Centrelink.


Our Team

scosa’s  team consists of experienced professionals who are specifically trained to support people living with disabilities and their families. Each staff member is highly qualified with a minimum qualification of Certificate III in Disability.

scosa continues to provide professional development and training to all staff ensuring the highest possible service is delivered.

Training includes but is not limited to:

  • Manual Handling
  • Health Care
  • Defensive Driving Training
  • Senior First Aid
  • Person Centred Active Support
  • Non-violent crisis intervention
  • Key Word Signing

Referrals

Referral to scosa can be made through Disability Services, school or self referral. We will then work with you, your case worker, your family/carer or advocate, school and/or others to ensure the best possible services are negotiated based on your individual needs and support requirements.

 

Host agency for Self Managed Funding

scosa is proud to be registered as a 'Host Agency' for Self Managed Funding.  If  you have an agreement with the Department for Families and Communities to manage your own funding but require the services of a host agency to assist, scosa can provide these services.
