Our Workplace Giving Programme is a great way to get involved with scosa because it is an ongoing way to donate and has little impact on your day-to-day life.

Workplace Giving is a simple and effective method for employees to support a charity.

It is voluntary and simply involves employees:

  • nominating a charity and the amount per month they'd like to donate.
  • the deduction is then made through the company's payroll system.
  • the regular donation can be anything from a couple of dollars to several hundred per month - and the more people who take part, the greater the benefits to our clients.

It works on the principle that a small amount every week, fortnight or month has minimum effect on your payroll, but over time, has a huge impact on the facilities and activities available to scosa clients.

South Australian employees have been supporting our programme since 1950 and in that time have raised over $2.5 million. An amazing effort!

Once it's set up, it's so easy and simple and every little bit helps. You nominate the amount you wish to contribute and all donations over $2.00 are tax deductible.

If a small company of 20 staff donates just $2 per week in their pay to scosa, within a year we have $2400 to help a person with disabilities. Multiply that by more staff, or a bigger donation, or more companies joining in.... and MORE people with disabilities can be helped.

Get a group of work colleagues together and nominate scosa as your preferred Workplace Giving charity. It really is that easy to make a difference so do it today!

Matched Giving

Some companies also choose to match employee contributions. Matching can be all or a percentage of the donations donated by their employees. When an organisation matches its employees' contributions, employees know their charitable donations go further and that their commitment to community development is a value shared by their employer. The simplicity and effectiveness of this type of programme is reflected in the growing popularity in Australia
